Guest house

On the Ludhiana campus, ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India offers two guest houses and one international training center (ITC). The Abohar campus of the institute has one guest house. These are primarily meant to accommodate various categories of trainees and official visitors. The guest houses are equipped with necessities for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning in some rooms. Cooking is not permitted in guesthouse rooms. The guest house also has one air-conditioned dining hall on the ground floor, which is appropriate for persons with limited mobility and where meals are served by the catering staff at reasonable rates.There is no elevator or lift in the guest house. To avoid any inconvenience, please enquire about the availability of rooms on the ground floor if you have difficulty with stairs. Free Wi-Fi internet is available in the guesthouses and ITC, as well as 24-hour power backup.

The occupation tariff varies as per ICAR norms. The room tariff shall be applicable by the status of the guest staying in the guest house, not by the status of the person who booked the accommodation e.g., if an ICAR employee books a room for a private visitor, the charges will be determined by “Private Visitor” rather than “ICAR charges.” Each guest has to carry a valid ID (Viz. Govt. ID, AADHAR, Driving license, Passport, College ID) in order to stay in the guest house. Payments in respect of room tariff are accepted through online mode only while catering charges can be paid either online/cash mode.
