ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India was established in 1989 and the institute has been contributing in the sector of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology in Agriculture and Allied Sciences. The institute has been organizing several R&D programs under which an array of sophisticated instruments and cutting edge technologies were made available for doing advanced researches. These are maintained in four different divisions of the institute. These four divisions are namely,
i) Agricultural Structure and Environment Control (AS & EC) Division
ii) Food Grain and Oilseed Processing (FG & OP) Division
iii) Horticultural Crop Processing (HCP) Division, Abohar
iv) Transfer of Technology (TOT) Division
The Analytical Instruments are located and maintained by different divisions. The farmers, entrepreneurs, industry owners, students and researchers can avail these facilities on paying very nominal charges. Keeping this in view, this corner has been created in the institute website named ICAR- CIPHET SAIF CORNER.
How to use the facility:
Address all your communications for using this facility to the Director, ICAR- CIPHET. The same will be directed to the concerned Division of the institute. The charges may be calculated using the costs associated with the instruments that are supposed to be used in the proposed analysis. The Payment may be done through Demand Draft in the name of ICAR Unit CIPHET payable at Ludhiana. All the requisitions received will be arranged first-come-first basis and analyses of samples will be done accordingly. The results will be communicated as per available standard methods. The charges of testing has been mentioned against each available instrument. The charges are inclusive of 18% GST.
